New York City Chapter Penn State Alumni -The Hope Gala is an annual black tie optional event hosted by the New York City and Northern New Jersey Chapters of the Penn State Alumni Association. Created to support fundraising efforts on behalf of The Four Diamonds Fund and The Penn State Dance Marathon (THON), The Hope Gala contributes to the mission of conquering childhood cancer. All proceeds benefit pediatric cancer patients at the Penn State Children's Hospital and their families in need of financial aid, medical assistance, and emotional support.

The Aegis Foundation presents The 20th Annual Oscar Experience Minneapolis on Sunday, February 24th at Union - a swanky new three-story restaurant, lounge and year-round rooftop bar in downtown Minneapolis. The only party officially sanctioned by The Oscars, The Oscar Experience Minneapolis is the longest running Oscar party in the United States, outside of Los Angeles. On February 24, 2013, the American Red Cross and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in partnership with The Theatres at Canal Place and WGNO ABC New Orleans will roll out the red carpet at The Theatres at Canal Place for Oscar Experience® New Orleans, Louisiana's official Oscar-viewing gala. The evening is a night to celebrate both the red carpet and the Red Cross, for nearly 100 years a partner in serving the humanitarian needs of the Greater New Orleans region. The fun and festivity commences with hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and music from local musicians.
