The Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation reported a $9,000,100 winning bid for “A Seat at the Table,” a charity lunch with Warren Buffett, Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry. The anonymous winner was invited to bring seven guests.

According to the foundation, Buffett matched the winning bid, with proceeds shared equally between Eat. Learn. Play. and GLIDE. Eat. Learn. Play. focuses on children’s nutrition, literacy and physical activity in Oakland; GLIDE provides services and community support in San Francisco.

The headline amount is a winning bid, not the same as a fully reported impact result. The recipient organizations’ own accounting and programme updates are the appropriate sources for how funds are received and used.
